Our website sets no cookies of its own and uses no advertising or tracking tools. Our analytics are cookieless. The only cookies that can reach your device come from YouTube, when you choose to watch an embedded podcast episode, and they load only after you say yes.

Google changes the cookies YouTube sets from time to time. The list above reflects what the player sets as of the date at the top of this page. Google's own description is at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.
We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies or social media tracking pixels.
Embedded YouTube videos
We embed episodes of our podcast from YouTube. When a YouTube player loads, Google can store cookies and other identifiers on your device and receives your IP address, even before you press play. Google may use this for its own analytics and advertising.
So we do not load the player until you agree.
Before you choose, each video shows as a still image with a short notice. Nothing from YouTube is loaded and nothing is stored on your device.
If you accept, the videos load in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode and the items marked "Yes" in the table above may be set.
If you decline, the videos stay as images. Each one links to the episode on YouTube, which opens in a new tab under Google's own terms.
Declining changes nothing else about the site. Every page, form and piece of content works the same either way.
Our legal basis for loading YouTube is your consent, as required by Regulation 5 of the European Communities (Electronic Communications Networks and Services) (Privacy and Electronic Communications) Regulations 2011, S.I. 336 of 2011.
Changing your choice
You can change your mind at any time. Withdrawing is as easy as agreeing.
On our site. Click "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page and choose again. If you withdraw, the videos go back to images from the next page you load.
In your browser. You can delete cookies and site data, or block them entirely, in your browser settings. Deleting our consent record means we will ask you again on your next visit.
Withdrawing consent stops future storage. Google holds any data it collected while you had consent under its own privacy policy, and you can manage that at myaccount.google.com or through Google's privacy controls.
Changes and contact
If we add or remove anything that stores data on your device, we update this page before the change goes live and ask for your consent again where the new item needs it. The date at the top shows the current version.
